About the author.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13).

Meagan was born April 9, 1998 weighing less than a pound. She was born @ 4 months and 3 weeks. She was diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity, which means her retina was detached. Meagan had over 30 surgeries to try to reattach her retina. With no success, our pastor told us “no more surgeries, this is how God planned for her to be.” As a result, Meagan is totally blind. At birth, the doctors said Meagan would expire within 24 hours… her heart would suffocate her lungs. My pastor asked the doctor, “ What will it take for this baby to live?” The doctor said, “A MIRACLE.” Late in the midnight hour, that’s exactly what occurred, “A MIRACLE.” Six weeks later, Meagan was able to go home weighing 4 pounds and 10 ounces. She had no bleeding on the brain, no monitors, no mental challenges…she was just blind. Meagan’s parents researched to ensure she had all available resources for her to have a quality life. At age two, Meagan started reading braille and realized reading was a form of enjoyment. She excelled through elementary and middle school. Meagan started writing when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Westfield High School with honors and is currently attending college pursuing a degree in a English. Meagan has always overcame obstacles and challenges. Her motto is, “ I can do all things through Christ, I just do it differently.”
